Year 2

Having acquired the core skills associated with Stanislavski’s system, students are now asked to adapt these principles to the demands of non-naturalistic texts and forms. Typical projects might be:

· Commedia dell’ Arte, Restoration Comedy, Farce or Music Theatre
· Contemporary World Theatre
· Jacobean Tragedy

Alongside these, students acquire associated practical skills such as armed and unarmed combat, mask work, tumbling, clowning, social dance and accent work.

In weekly TV and Radio workshops students are introduced to the demands made by the camera and microphone.
